Multipliers Through Collaboration


I call it the multiplier effect.

A difficulty that most of us have is that we are hard workers.

We learned that there was a work ethic involved in getting to the next level.

We learned to be self-reliant, which is a great characteristic.

But on the other side, there is a limit to how much we can get done on our own.

There is a limit to how much impact we can have.

We only have so much time and ability. If we try and continue to push the bar, we will burn out.

So what’s the answer?

Collaboration. Joint ventures. Strategic alliances.

You still keep some separateness to your own structure or business, and you don’t completely merge with someone else – but you intertwine at the fringes with the right people.

This is the multiplier effect.

You need to find the right people, though. It’s too easy to skirt the issue and just find someone that seems good.

You have to be careful who you align with.

There are certain people out there who have intentions that do not hold true.  

So how do you avoid issues when you collaborate with others?

Don’t go too deep too fast. Test the waters out first.

Next, do some due diligence on the person you are considering. Ask them tough questions and dig into their past.

You can’t get where you want to go in life without collaboration.

I understand if you have been burned before, you don’t want to try again.

But you need to try again.

Take more time and do more due diligence.

Because great strategic alliances and joint ventures are the best way to move the needle and create impact, so you can get your life back.

You don’t have to do everything yourself or reinvent the wheel.

The multiplier effect of putting two or more collaborators together is amazing.

But you have to put down the groundwork and foundation first.
