Leveraging Through Assistants

You know I’m a huge fan of leverage.

And probably the first thing you’re thinking of is financial leverage – which is a massive part of building wealth and cashflow, and the blueprint I’ve followed for most of my life.

But there are other kinds of leverage as well.

The one I am talking about today is time / human capital leverage – using the time, talents, resources, expertise, and experience of other people.

A lot of us are rugged individualists, and we learned early on the importance of hard work and a good work ethic.

Those are important things, and always will be.

But lots of times, when it comes to our business, we try to control it all and are afraid to turn something over to someone – because we’re afraid they won’t do it right.

That could be the result of just not finding the right person, but ultimately – it’s a leadership issue.

I brought up this up at a recent Mastermind with my Elite members:

How many of us actually have an assistant – personal or virtual?

I.e. someone who has a skillset outside of our own, who is good at getting things done and organizing people like you and I.

Someone who can organize our email communications, scheduling, paperwork, etc.

Why don’t we use this?

It’s because there is a kind of blockage in terms of how to do it.

We weren’t taught how to do this – if there’s a problem, “it’s faster to fix it ourselves.”

I did this for years until I had finally had enough.

I don’t know what I’d do without my personal assistant – I’d probably go crazy.

You may not find the right person right away, but don’t give up if you want real leverage in your life beyond the typical financial leverage.

Start somewhere and do it today.

There are even places online that will assist you in finding an assistant.

And if one doesn’t work out, the online team finds you another.

What’s the risk?

Very little, and the reward can be exponential.

I challenge you to try it out, even if it's for a few simple tasks.

Finding the right assistant will allow you to leverage your own time and skills better – which will in turn bring you more freedom.

To your freedom!
